Supporting St Mary’s Oswaldtwistle parish financially.
Are you able to help?
All parishes need constant financial support to survive, whether it comes from the collection baskets during Mass or one off donations. Church attendance has not recovered from the COVID era when the use of cash was restricted and people payed mainly by credit or debit card making our weekly income fall significantly.
In this current financial crisis, we recognise that many parishioners may be in a different financial position than they were previously, or also struggling financially, and therefore there is no expectation to give where you are unable to do so, however we now have facilities to accept card payments should you choose.
If you are able to consider supporting the parish financially, we have set out the options for donation available to you below.
Thank you, all of our parish family, for your ongoing support.
By far more importantly, we pray that you keep well, your faith remains strong and we look forward to when our churches can safely and fully reopen, and Mass can once again be celebrated together in person.
You can currently donate as usual with your envelope, with cash or a cheque enclosed, in addition we now have card payments available for your convenience.
As parishes hold their income in bank accounts, standing orders are the easiest option for your regular giving – and you will no longer need to worry about having the right cash on a weekly basis, when we’re back in our parish churches.
Giving by standing order
Regular giving is the financial bedrock of our parish. It also minimises risk and costs the parish less to manage, so your money goes further.
If you have online banking you can set this up online, or you can print the standing order form for your parish found in the link standing order mandate and post it to your bank.
Many people have asked can they donate monies towards the parish via Direct Debit and if so what is the name of the parish account:
SRCDTR ST MARY OSWALDTWISTLE.
