Supporting St Mary’s Oswaldtwistle parish financially, are you able to help?
We are receiving enquiries from parishioners who have asked us how to continue giving to the parish following the pandemic restrictions.
All parishes need constant financial support, even more so without their weekly congregations and visitors.
We recognise that many parishioners may be in a different financial position than they were previously, or also struggling financially, and therefore there is no expectation to give where you are unable to do so.
If you are able to consider supporting the parish financially, we have set out the options for donation available to you below.
Thank you, all of our parish family, for your ongoing support.
By far more importantly, we pray that you keep well, your faith remains strong and we look forward to when our churches can safely and fully reopen, and Mass can once again be celebrated together in person.
How can I donate?
You can currently donate as usual with your envelope, with cash or a cheque enclosed, but this may not remain an option if infection rates rise and restrictions are reintroduced.
As parishes hold their income in bank accounts, standing orders are the easiest option for your regular giving – and you will no longer need to worry about having the right cash on a weekly basis, when we’re back in our parish churches.
Giving by standing order
Regular giving is the financial bedrock of our parish. It also minimises risk and costs the parish less to manage, so your money goes further.
If you have online banking you can set this up online, or you can print the standing order form for your parish found in the link standing order mandate and post it to your bank or parish.
Please also look at contributions through Gift Aid, it's free and easy too.
Thank you to all of you who have continued to donate, and otherwise support St Mary's parish at this extraordinarily difficult time.
Fr O'Brien.
